WE BEAT WHAT WE LIKE
R.I.P. Remo Celis

One of my best friends died yesterday. He had a Rhabdomyosarcoma which is a rare cancer of the leg (hip). We did a benefit at the Rex Lounge for Remo Celis last year, and raised $500 for his medical bills.

He had no money at all (like, for real for real), but got some good treatment in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan hospital. It wasn’t good enough apparently.

A short time before Christmas it became hard to get ahold of him and when he called me back it was always in the middle of an EXTENEDED stay in the Emergency Room. Then he told me the ER doctors in Grand Rapids found tumors in his Neck.

When they found the tumors in his neck his mom had a Heart Attack, and I think it became more difficult for him to be the tough as leather, no feat cancer patient that I had grew to love.

I’m crying right now. This is really hard. R.I.P. Remo Celis. I forgot the rest of what I wanted to write.
